This is refered to as a summer pear because it is available in the middle of August. Early promotions are the thing to do because Bartletts are available only until January.

Bosc
This pear has a distinctive appearance with a symetrical body, long tapering neck, and a cinnamon brown russet color. Available from the end of September until June.

Red Varieties
Starkrimson, Anjou, and Bartlett are available from September to May. Each of the red pears are attractive and eye-catching; A sure fire method to attract attention in your stores for increased sales. These varieties start at the end of August and continue until May.
